The data we collect.

  • We process personal data through Cookies based on your consent, which you are free to give or refuse. You’ll see consent options when you visit our website for the first time. If you change your decision it will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. You can change your decisions at any time at top of our privacy policy page. More information in the section “Cookie policy”.
  • In our legitimate interest according to we processes personal data for direct marketing purposes, to prevent fraud or to ensure the network and information security of your IT systems.
  • In order to send you our Technical Notes we collect your e-mail address, after your consent.
  • In order to fulfil the ordering process and legal obligations we collect following information:
    • First and last name, and company name if applies
    • Address for invoicing
    • Delivery address
    • VAT number, if applies
    • E-mail address
    • Your custom purchase order (if you decide to provided it)
    • Phone number (if you decide to provided it).
    Additionally, we use this Order Information to: communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud.
  • In the purpose of e-mail marketing we keep your e-mail address (after your consent), you can withdraw the consent by clicking “unsubscribe” link in the e-mail newsletter or by contacting us using contact information provided at the end of this document.
  • In the purpose of answering your messages sent through our online forms we keep your e-mail address, name, and company name if applies (and all the information you freely provide in the message).
  • For statistical purpose we use Matomo for aggregated, anonymized website traffic analysis. In order to track your session usage, Matomo drops a cookie with a randomly-generated ClientID in your browser. This ID is anonymized and contains no identifiable information like email, phone number, name, etc. We also send Matomo your anonymised IP Address. We use it to track aggregated website behaviour, such as what pages you looked at, for how long, what’s your browser, system, language, approximate location. This information is important to us for improving the user experience and determining site effectiveness. This data is collected only after your consent (by “cookie banner”).

How do we collect the data.

  • “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. Statistical data obtained through cookies are needed for historical analysis to better tailor the store to our recipients and to generate reports (described detail at “Cookies Policy” paragraph).
  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, operating system name and version, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. This information may be used in the event of attacks on our information technology systems. When using these general data and information, the Minerva Biolabs Inc. does not draw any conclusions about the data subject.
  • Our e-commerce system collects information about visitors and customers, this includes your IP address, the pages you visited, your visit time and referrer page (if it’s accessible), products added to cart, date of registration, date of last visit, language and your social title (Mr. or Mrs.) if you’ve provided it.
  • We collect your personal information through the account registration form, ordering form, newsletter form, Technical Notes download form and contact forms (i.e. general enquiries and technical enquiries). Detailed description of the type collected data is in section 1 “The data we collect”.

For how long do we keep the data.

  • The criteria used to determine the period of storage of personal data is the respective statutory retention period. After expiration of that period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, as long as it is no longer necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or the initiation of a contract.
  • Information gathered by Cookies are anonymised and for statistical purpose they are kept indefinite. Expiry time of each Cookie you can find in the “Cookie Policy” section.
  • Information gathered by server logs files are kept for two months.
  • Information about registered users are kept until the account is erased (this doesn’t include information which we are obligated by law to keep).
  • Information about Newsletter users are kept until user resigns of the newsletter.
  • E-mail addresses used to send Technical Notes are kept for max. 5 years.

With whom do we share the data.

A transfer of data to recipients outside of our house takes place only in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations. Recipient of personal data may be e.g.: Public authorities and institutions (eg financial or law enforcement authorities) in the presence of a legal or regulatory obligation, credit and financial service providers (processing payment transactions).

To fulfil the order process, we share your data also with the delivery company, this concerns your delivery address.

For sending our newsletter, we transmit your e-mail address registered via our newsletter form to our service provider GetResponse (https://www.getresponse.com/legal/privacy).

Data subject’s (visitor’s) rights.

If you are a European Union resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise some of these rights, please contact us through the contact information below.

In case your personal data protection rights has been violated you have the right to lodge a complaint with your country’s data protection authority.

Cookies’ Policy

Cookies are small files that can be used to store certain device-related information on users' access devices (PCs, smartphones, etc.). They serve the user-friendliness of web pages and thus the user (for example storage of login data). On the other hand, they serve to collect statistical data on the use of the website and to evaluate it to improve the offer.

The data collected will be used to monitor how users use our websites to improve the functioning of the website and enable more efficient and easier navigation.

We use two types of cookies:

  • cookies that are required to use the site (eg, login credentials, language preferences, to use to prevent attacks, and others that are required for order fulfilment), so called functional cookies
  • additional cookies (statistic) to help us understand who and how visited our website and as historical data to analyse and improve the service we offer. All data collected by additional cookies is anonymized and contains no personal information. These are not third party cookies.

Necessary cookies are set automatically after visiting our website, additional cookies are set after your consent (except of visitors from USA, Canada and Mexico where both types of cookies are set automatically), you can manually delete them in your browser. The level of protection against cookies is set in each browser until cookies are completely blocked. This increases security and privacy, but it can also prevent some features, such as processing the checkout or saving language settings.
Deleting all cookies (including those required) can be done in the browser’s settings and varies depending on the browser.

List of cookies we use:

  • PHPSESSID – functional cookie necessary to run the website, this cookie’s duration is session.
  • PrestaShop-{unique ID} – functional cookie necessary to run the website, cookie set by our e-commerce system, its duration is 20 days.
  • _pk_id{unique ID} – statistic cookie placed by analytics tool we use (Matomo), used to store a few details about the user such as the unique visitor ID. Its duration is 13 months.
  • _pk_ref – statistic cookie placed by Matomo, used to store the attribution information, the referrer initially used to visit the website. Its duration is 6 months.
  • _pk_ses, _pk_cvar, _pk_hsr – statistic cookie placed by Matomo, short lived cookies used to temporarily store data for the visit. Its duration is 30 minutes.
  • _pk_testcookie – statistic cookie placed by Matomo, used to check whether the visitor’s browser supports cookies, it is deleted immediately.
